Description
The Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment is Oakland’s Video Game Museum. Located at address is 3400 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94611 and known simply as “The MADE,” we host playable exhibitions of historically significant works, free programming classes for kids, lectures, tournaments, game development parties and community events. The MADE is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to the preservation of video game history, and to educating the public on how video games are created.
Our goal is to inspire the next generation of game developers.
We are also dedicated to the heralding of video games as an artistic medium. We support developers and artists in their work with co-working Tuesdays starting at 1 PM, and events which bring the public into closer interaction with the game development and testing processes.
