Hello, my name is Ria and I'm an Autism Mom.​​

I love creating handmade crafts and I opened my online craft store "TwinkiesKrafts" at Etsy.com in 2014. I opened the store to create crafts and to promote Autism Awareness. I donated 75% of the proceeds from my store to Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital, and this inspired me to do more.

My son Balian has always been my inspiration. I've always wanted to create a place where special needs children, like Balian, can go out and participate in community events, where all the kids can just have fun and express their unique selves, without the worry of inquisitive glances and rude comments simply because they are not perceived as "Normal".

Being able to provide an event / place where being "different" is totally OK and parents can mingle, network, and support one another. A place where special needs children and their parents can be themselves. Spreading awareness is great, but what these kids really need are ACCEPTANCE, especially in the community. This is what motivates me to create this organization.
