BABI serves the Silicon Valley and San Francisco Peninsula region by bringing together resources for a healthy, positive birth experience. Welcoming a baby into your family is a joyous occasion. But pregnancy and delivery can also be an overwhelming time for expectant parents. We believe birth is a normal process in life, and a supportive environment can bring out a woman’s inherent confidence to give birth and to care for and form lifelong attachments with her child.

We provide education, support and resources along with promoting awareness of evidence-based care and options in order to reduce unnecessary birth interventions, improve breastfeeding success rates, and encourage secure bonding between parents and their children. Members of BABI are professionals who provide evidence-based care and services to expectant and new parents and their children, as well as professional connections throughout the community for those who are serving the childbearing years.
